Because most people are still thinking about AI as a chatbot.

It gives an answer.
The interaction ends there.
AI agents are different. An agent can plan tasks, make decisions, interact with tools, execute workflows, and continue operating toward an objective with minimal human involvement.
That changes the role AI plays completely. The shift is no longer just about generating content faster.
It is about software starting to execute work on behalf of humans instead of simply responding to prompts.
