Gnosis VPN Q5 update: development continues at full pace as we prepare for DappCon 2026 in Berlin!
This quarter we deepened HOPRd v4 across the stack, with end-to-end path cost planning, a leaner packet pipeline, and better telemetry via OpenTelemetry for clearer visibility during real-user testing.
On the edge client, a new unified channel lifecycle strategy plus a single-address funding flow that auto-moves wxHOPR into the Safe removes a big chunk of manual setup. Our indexer blokli also gained major reliability and observability upgrades.
On the product side: a connection-time kill-switch to prevent traffic leaks, overhauled routing and DNS leak protection, and more reliable recovery. The app added in-app update checks, redesigned exit node switching, a smarter Auto mode, and a dedicated funding screen. For Linux users, we shipped a signed APT repository and installer for Debian and Ubuntu. Huge thanks to everyone who joined our first round of user testing!
Next up is the final stretch before DappCon 2026. If you're attending, come by our booth and try the latest version. Testing slowed while we implement feedback, but will ramp back up after the event. The goal stays the same: a decentralized, trust-minimized, uncensorable VPN that real people can actually use.
π’ Heads up: you'll be able to test this new release next week β stay tuned!
